High skill, low drama ideally; I was thinking BtS with careful bans to open the field to some of the rusty old clankers (Seven, interested?) and avoid the nastiness of mod-version brawling (2.7.0.4 forever!). Wouldn't expect this to start immediately...Pin wanted to finish out his school semester, so that's at least 3-4 weeks away. Who among ye Tier 3 and beyond are interested? Ideally our team would be the worst players...

Me and reddog consider sending a team to this pitbos.

Great stuff, this is something I would love to lurk.

I immediately see one problem though. The thread is barely opened and I already see borderline cases such as mackoti and Krill signing in. I suggest that those guys play a quick duel with Krill streaming the game live and the winner gets to challenge the real vets listed in the opening post. hammer

Reg settings, I hope you play RtR unless Krill has destroyed it since I last checked. I read somewhere about non-pillageable improvements... shakehead mischief

And if it's not too boring mirrored map would be cool for this kind of a game. Probably only from a lurker perspective, but still..
Finished:
PBEM 45G, PB 13, PB 18, PB 38 & PB 49

#1, #2, #3

I don't have time at the moment to sign up, at least as a solo, but vanilla BTS sounds like a disaster... you want this to be a serious competitive game, right?

To be blunt I think of this game as an exhibition match. The only mod change to base BtS that makes sense is the tech cost scaling, but the game can be played without that. Base BtS will work.

Kind of what Krill said, but I think 8-9 combos can be found reasonably balanced with one another. It's the derivation of them that's the sticky bit.

Of course, we're all gentlemen of taste and refinement, are we not? If balanced combinations are the goal, why we could dispense with the messy grabbing chaos of a snake pick and instead come to a list amongst ourselves while sipping cognac.
