[SPOILERS]"These boots are made for stompin"-Thoth tries to remember how to play BTS

Mine is an old injury as well. It's been very good for over a year now. Unfortunately I've gotten slack with my stretching and exercise regimen over the winter and have been spending a bit too much time slumped in the computer chair instead. So I have Noone to blame but myself for this. I suspect that going out dancing last night probably didn't help, even if I did wind up getting some Shiatsu from the bouncer on my way out.
I'm still in reasonable shape so I expect it shouldn't take too long for things to heal back up. I've been here before. wink

The Alhazard site is 888 from Krank. On the grass hill that gets crab second ring. 50 culture covers the only tole that can have the crabs 1st ring. Oracle + creative means 5t. It's coastal with only two corner tiles exposed and they're on different seas. Shares wheat with Krank + gets crabs and some Hills.

T35 done.

Here's the northlands including dotmap:

Most of the forests around the northern site have spread since game start. There was only one forest when first scouted.
Still no religions. Auro is now in slavery. Alhazard is still on two cities.

Looking at the map, the only way to use the oracle culture in an offensive manner like that is the city north of Krank. That city can only make the timetable by using three forest chops. There are enough forests but you'll need to work out the micro. The capital is easier but gives a mixed GE/GP pool and delays Mids. The GP gpp in that fifth city wouldn't get used except for a mixed odds GP/whatever caste GP we tried to make prior to the knight rush. Dumping both wonders in the capital gives us an easy method of getting a golden age, a free wonder, Theocracy or shrine.

I think a chopped library would give enough culture in that fifth city tbh.

Fuck it. If Oracle lands in SD, I figure Mids is close to a lock at that point right? If just GL and NE go in SD that's 39 great people points per turn, split between GE, GP, GA and GS. Turn the capital into a wonder city at 20 base bpt and just farm those random great people. All of them are useful. Dump MoM, ND, maybe HG if it's around. We'd only want SP for Theo, maybe Parth makes sense. Just dump all the wonders in one city. SD should make 45 hpt into the marble wonders anyway.

HE is the main aim to manage military needs, need a city making 17 hot for 1 turn HA and 27 hpt for knights. FF is actually a capable HE city thanks to quick speed, needs to hit size 11 to do that, but with PS only needs size 9 very attainable. Everything else is about getting to Guilds and an e only that can build knights.

I can do a 2t Oracle in the North city using 2 workers.  Need to build one more from Sex Dwarf before next settler whip (doable if needed)  in order to have 3 available.  Costs a few hammers towards Mids but we save 2 forests by building Oracle elsewhere.

I like Oracle off by its self:  we can easily whip out a temple and run a priest. 10 gpp/turn won't take long to generate our shrine before Sex Dwarf builds all the wonders.
Agreed we stuff NE and GL into SD.  GSs and GEs are always useful.  SP without Gold is pants.  Easier to just tech Theo.   AP is a solid use of a GE if we roll one.

HE in FF is good.  Haven't checked around closely to see if there are any other likely candidates.  Still need a level 4 unit.  Or any unit with XP for that matter.  tongue

Still waiting for t36 to show up in the inbox.

If oracle can land without a delay in another city fine, but any delay just to use the culture more effective seems shortsighted to me. I think that if oracle for currency and Mids lands the game is over regardless, so i don't see the point in risking them. I agree that oracle in another city is good simply because it doesn't slow down Kids. Just don't delay Oracle under any circumstances imo.

We're on track for t48 Oracle if I can swing the beakers.

T36 played....expenses are slightly lower than anticipated (by 1gpt), possibly due to a slightly closer city location than originally simmed.

Founded Krank as planned and started sheep pasture (complete next turn with the help of a second worker)

Pre-end of turn shots:

Overview:

Note that the micro signs around Krank are wrong.  tongue  Will fix when next save arrives.

Found some GOLD:

Demos at max tax:

And at max tech:

Still no religions.  Alhazard still on 2 cities.  Auro on three.

Few hiccups in the grand plan, but nothing that can't be worked around.

1) Krank grows to size 3 eot 41 only if it works max food. This means that the library won't complete with 2 chops + 1t hammers. So we chop 3 forests into the library. The one that is signed "Four t38" plus the forested PH 6 of that tile and the roaded plains forest 3 of the sheep.

2) Can't whip settler t41. Whip t42 instead (3 whip from 6 with 1t invested). Settle marble t45 (instead of 44), quarry done t46, roaded t47.

3) tech is going to be very tight in order to complete Priesthood eot 47. Need to work silver from t42 onwards. I *think* we scrape up just enough beakers to squeak over the line but I'm not 100% sure.

4) Gonna want another worker (our 6th) out of FF at size 4 before allowing it to grow to 5. We're also going to want a second chariot before that worker. One of theses things won't happen. tongue

1 ok, expected. Overflow hammers into a granary?

2 whatever.

3 lake tiles exist forms reason.

4 do we get 1 chariot or not, before the worker? 1 chariot covers enough.

Either gran or finish warrior. It will only be about 10 hammers net. I was figuring on finishing up the warrior and then collecting hammers on a gran until after the GS is done. Whip or chop post math.

We'll have 1 chariot out before the worker, I want a second but it's not going to happen just yet. 2-3 chariots will be handy, we're pretty spread out. tongue
i want the 2nd chariot, but we need the worker. So we build the worker then the 2nd chariot (and probably the 3rd as well) then shift to *worker for awhile.
