You can clearly see that we didn't. I'm just trying to get rules clarifications.
At the moment the rule does seem to allow double moves. As the intent of the rule when written was clearly to prevent them it should be adjusted. Just I have no idea how. Clearly can't have either player forfeiting a turn's moves. Apart from the at your own peril thing, I think the only alternative in future is if both civs have yet to move in the second half of the turn the declarer needs to declare without moving any units then allow the defender to move their units first before going ahead with the attack. Could this be made a part of the rule? Or are there some loopholes in this situation?
Also, where do your spearmen train? Sparta?
