I really wish I had a better reason to break my silence in this thread but something disturbing happened and I need lurker support.
A few turns ago I had a strange incident with BGN in this area:
He moved a workboat to my borders, asked for OB and when I refused declared war and tried to swim through - even though he knew I had a galley nearby. When I went to hunt him with my galley, he double-moved me. Not particularly big deal: I was really late with my turn and he did not move his workboat to avoid my galley, even though he could. Instead, he tried to push it as far east as possible.
Back then I thought that the only explanation for his behavior was him being close to circumnavigation and trying to uncover that last couple of tiles. I thought about making an issue out of it but decided that it would be extremely petty as he would not double-move me if he has suspected it would matter. Well, now, a few turns later, I have a reason to feel awkward about that decision:
BGN, however, should feel doubly awkward. If he got circumnavigation only because he double-moved, this is a serious issue. On this map everything navy-related is very important. Of course, the probability of this is low: these few extra tiles he uncovered would matter only under a very particular configuration of coastline, or in a very close race, otherwise, he would get circumnav either way. The thing is, he had no way of knowing if his double-move would matter or not. Which means that he should have avoided double-moving.
What to do now? Reload is out of the question, as it happened something like 6 turns ago. But still, it is in public interest to learn what exactly has happened. I think that PMing BGN and engaging with him in a direct dialogue will be highly inappropriate for me as it would be too easy to leak spoilery info if we start a conversation. What is appropriate is for a lurker to press them on this issue, quoting verbatim from my thread, if necessary. I do not think I have put here any info which is not known to both of us (but please don't repost screenshots)
Also, keep in mind that I am 90% sure that this is some kind of awkward circumstance as this is BGN/Xenu we are talking about. These guys have a lot of trust points in my eyes, and if they are doing something weird, they probably have good reasons. And please, quote it to them if you are gonna confront them about it, I do not want to come out as more confrontational than I really am. Still, the issue needs to be cleared up.

The workboat was where my galley is on the first screenshot if it is important, and my galley was 1SE of Thandara. He first moved to a tile 1E from Thandara, then he moved further east before I was able to react (and it looks like I misremembered when I said that he could have saved the WB). Maybe he did not notice that I have not made my turn? Weird, as he knew that he walked into my galley. But could happen.

Did one of BGN or Xenu play both turns? I know they've been sharing turn playing. This would not excuse the actions, just ch going if there is a reason for that move.

I think BGN played both turns but I am not 100% certain.
