Well, it looks like scooter now has both an academy and Buracuracy. On turn 75. Considering this is NTT game, I think scooter has a solid shot at being the tech leader for a large portion of this game. Consider the oppositioin:
-Twinkletoes: Self-explanatory
-Sandover: Expanding to quickly to have THAT good of a tech rate.
-Timmy: Ditto
-SleepingMoogle: With very un-cottageable land, his only method of commerce would be specialists [which require much more food] and shrine income [which requires much more religion spreading].
-Bobchillingsworth: Even with his marginal land, he seems to want to focus all of his teching and production on: wonders.

scooter already has a pretty good teching position, and no real opposition to oppose him anyway.

Sidenote:
Oooooo, interesting things regarding Timmy happening in scooter's thread. Anyone else see the possibility for a Sandover-Bobchillingsworth-scooter alliance/agreement? It would pay not to have two people considering war in the near future not attacking each other, and it would be interesting to see Sandover gobble up Twinkletoes while Bob and scooter partitioned Timmy.

Moogle does seem to be having the worst of the barbs that I've seen so far.

I'd say scooter has been least troubled.

At least, don't do it in multiplayer, right? At least in SP, the AI may do some of the work for you ....

Well, well, well, looks like war's broken out between Sandover and Twinkletoes. From his posts it seems that TT is willing to whip himself to the core to punish Sandover, but Sandover seems to want a short, punishing skirmish. Dunno how it will turn out, but either way this will turn the scooter and Timmy into the contenders for the lead.

I don't know how I would have handled things if I were in TT's place. (I'd probably first make sure I wasn't in TT's place)
