Yes, I had a similar case in PB59 but the circumstances were fundamentaly different and even at that time there were different opinions about the issue.

In PB59 I was offered peace for huge amounts of money, so that I would go into strike and can't defend my spaceship. The whole purpose of the deal was that I would run out of gold. Which means the issue was unavoidable.

In this case the pupose of the deals was to send money to Amicalola as support in the war against us. The money did not have to be send as a loan to fulfill that purpose but could have been gifted to Amicalola to avoid the issue.

The money is just used twice now. Once to upgrade Amicalolas army and a second time to fund Mjmd's, Gavagai's and superdeath's research (or even more upgrades for Amicalolas army if it was gifted again). And since there are more deals than one involved it's not even clear to us whether Amicalola would have been able to repay the deals from the start. Letting the deals continue feels like a clear abuse of the game mechanics to me. And in this case the strike is by no means any compensation for us.


And on a different note: I can try to give a summary of our game here as well but that will likely take a while.

Hey guys, I wanted to say sorry for causing this issue. No one told me about it during the game (I suspect lurker interest is very low in this game, for map / reporting / unknown other reasons). The truth is that I have been very checked out of this game for a long time, as you probably suspected, and I just didn't think about the ramifications of my loans. My apologies for any frustration this caused.

Don't worry, I didn't think it was on purpose. It could still have been a considerable advantage for Mjmd and Gavagai had the deal been active a few more turns.

Yeah sorry I should probably have told everyone to pause, I didn't realise how fast it was moving. I'm also unsure why lurked interest is so low, though bigger game that's not been too well reported must be some of it. I also find it harder to place the map in my head than more traditional ones.

Actually, two roads were to be built so that a Morale Command unit could then capture the empty capital (2 ICBM).

Can you provide a bit more explicit detail on what exactly you intended, what the mistake was, and what the impact is? It appears you're saying the worker 2W of Unrest Estate was supposed to road, and you misclicked railroad, causing neither to complete this turn? And as a result, what happens?

scooter, the road allows a morale commando to take a city and destroy two ICBM.

Sorry for the disjointed comments. 2 workers should build missing road parts (silk and sw of silk) so that a Commando Morale unit can take the empty Zulu capitol cleared by 2 of my ICBMs, which is also the headquarters of Cereals. I had a worker in reserve, but as it seems I put him on the wrong ship last round.

Sorry, one last detail I'm unclear about. Are you saying there were two issues?

1) Pressed railroad button instead of road button on the silk this turn

2) Placed worker on the wrong ship last turn, which meant even without the road, you would not have a worker available for a second road SW of the silk?


Or are there 3 workers, and you're saying the second issue has prevented you from having backup for issue 1?

There were 3 workers and I misplaced the ship last turn. So I had now only two workers for two roads. Esentially, your last sentence is correct.
