That's the way that would work.

I'm interested as I'll soon have 3 free months as finals will end soon.
I would like to see some version of Tech Trading on, as I think it will make it a more interesting game for longer. Look at how long PBEM 1 & PB1 went compared to all the other games. Makes it much harder for a dominant player to become invincible & people losing interest.
Not sure how the no diplo rule would work, as we could just end up with people changing unit names to propose things whilst avoiding typing stuff in.
How about there is no diplo of any kind allowed until Tech Trading is enabled (if we play the RB Mod way) - then alliances won't have been really established until everyone has got their empires up and running?

No silly unit naming or any other format of communication. Just the standard diplo window.

Best rule of thumb is that if you think a name conveys meaning to another player, don't name it that. And as everyone would have to agree to the idea of "No diplo" before starting the game, it's not really a hard rule to follow, if you do stuff like that you know you are breaking the idea of the rule.

I probably can't sign up but one thought I had was a no NAP game. I'm not sure on the mechanics or if it would even be possible.
Isn't there one of the pbems that has no human diplomacy? PBEM12 or 13?

Can't really enforce a No NAP game, short of cutting out all diplomacy. PBEM13 allowed communication in game, so you could send messages forward but had to wait to your turn to receive them. Novel but doesn't change any dynamics.

18 has no diplomacy.
I would be fine with no diplomacy, but not interested if tech trading is on, like I said before.

If diplo-lite...
If Pitboss...
If RBMod...
If I can find a teammate willing to do his share...
I'd be interested...

Well, these are the settings for a PB game, as best as I can tell:
- It's PB5, not P5.
- RB mod with the TT and AH proposed changes, plus one or two civ balance fixes that Cyneheard has been working on.
- AI diplomacy only (ie, can only communicate through the diplomacy screen, offer techs but with nothing typed in etc).
- TT enabled.
- Unrestricted leaders.
- Turn timer is adjusted every turn to fit into a real 24 hour timer. No stupid 24 hours on the clock means 30 real life hours. Every turn is 24 hours and ends at a set time each day.
I figure for a game like this would need about 6 players/teams.
