I don't think growing to 7 is bad if we either 1) connect the gold or 2) plan on whipping away that population. I'll give it some time to look at today, but it's hard to plan out now before knowing where Copper is and where the settler goes.
If the copper appears within the first 3 rings of our capital, where does the 2nd city go? Do we plant 1N of the pig to grab multiple food tiles or do we go for the double seafood because it's easier to defend? Realistically he is going to be able to fork anywhere we put a city, it's just a matter of some spots taking longer to get to the forking position than others.

I reckon that by the time.we have copper located we should be able to work out the ideal dot map order ordering. With a size 6 capital if we can get copper hooked then we can double whip out two phalanxes and them we are pretty much safe and the three turns it would take to do that would regrow one pop anyway.
I'm just musing on some of the generalities of how to play this out, but I agree that it is the copper location that will crystalize any plans, but we have to settle for copper and everything derives from that. If we have copper we are still limited by hooking it so even if it is third ring we need to settle near our worker so it can then hook a food resource.
As a side note, I should have pointed out explicitly that the lake by the deer is almost certainly a route between seas so the scout will only have two or three paths through it, and will get good vision anyway over those tiles.

Knowing where CF is will also be a factor if we are planning to paper tiger him into picking someone else. Hopefully scout2 can find him and we can get a phalanx over in that direction so he knows to look for easier pickings elsewhere without a lot more investment on our part.

We ought to check F4 to see if Cornflakes has met Fabled.
If he has then we know we are on the right track.
If we can get copper into the capital for 3 turns we should get 2 phalanxes and that pretty much kills a WC rush. The only thing we struggle to stop is the single WC if it is rushed out and thrown at us. But all this depends on copper, if it is towards Cornflakes this is really risky, if it is to the east we are either completely safe or completely dead and nothing we do matters.

Ideally both scouts are heading south to locate Cornflakes over the next few turns. Scout2 needs to reveal the land around the capital on its way south, but that should be done easily with how we've planned it.

Realistically we have a good chance of wandering into either a settler or more likely the second city if it is pushed towards us from Cornflakes. We know he has to be somewhere SW of the capital because of where Fabled is, but with swinging around with scout2 there is a good chance we stumble into a WC if he is rushing us.
Ie scout2 will probably end up being an effective sentry for the 5 turn window we can't cover.

Fucked if I know. I can't remember so I'll work it out again.
Eot9 worker, hook food t15, growth@2 eot16 regardless of what food he hooked, build a settler at 10fhpt and then 12fhpt would give the settler eot25 if he hooked a 6 yield tile by t21. He would have a single scout and warrior by that point. Looking at settling somewhere between t27 and t29 depending on what roads he put down and terrain.
Honestly not sure how you play the start with a single worker and a size 2 capital on t26 other than WC rush. He should have picked up no additional commerce so BW might just have been in reach, but work boat would take around 6 to 7 turns to complete? So maybe he could go fishing afterwards? And then pottery? I have no clue, the low happy cap is awkward.

Here, let me give you more data:
He mirrors us mostly, working the banana from t0 through t14 (edit: except switches to the oasis turns 9-12), then switching to a 5f1h tile on t15 just as we do. Grows to size 2 end of t16 and starts his settler. I am pretty confident its a settler because he doesn't grow to 3 when we do, and still hasn't grown to 3 as we reach size 4. The two food gain you see him get at the end is him upgrading from his banana tile to a second 5f1h tile. Otherwise he would have grown when we did and gained food the turn you see us spike up. The only mystery for me is why it takes him a turn longer to hook up his wheat/pig/whatever. Actually I think this will cost him a turn on his settler from my earlier estimates as this shows him working 10 food-hammers from turns 17 through 21. Which means even at 12 food-hammers he still needs 5 more. So settler due end of t26.
