[SPOILERS]The Tyrant realizes that once the world burns it gets really boring....

Also I'm bored and trying to put off dissertation research.

The last I read was that the ages old who/whom was up for (what's the word, brain is addled...) obsolescence? Thank you, spell check...

I think that, collectively, we are no longer smart enough to use the genitive case correctly, so we'll be dispensing with that bit of nonsense. Ok, if I just linked to that correctly, I'm not as useless as I had previously supposed. Someone (BRICK) fact check that for me. It'll be a test case to see if I need rehab or not.

Can anyone get WPC on the line? I want to murder someone with criminal intent at civ. Thanks!!!

Just murder Suttree, we're already at war.

How can this thread be named for you and only featuring me when I've done most of the work here?

And why would anyone do anything he asks when boldly is obviously drunk? The right answer is to ignore him, as usual.

Finally, Krill, of all the insults to hurl how about using one that doesn't do collateral? neenerneener

Fine.

The quantity of work that you produced gave us a hopeless position. The quality of work that I produced raped suttree's stack. In this case, quality >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> quantity. The words that you are searching for are "you're welcome".

I'm not sure how to take that, other than we bitch incessantly about the map. Comment over there maybe for specifics? I mean, I named 1-2 units for NH, but he doesn't get the entire army.

I'm not sure you ever did name another unit after me after my previous incarnation's unfortunate end...

It's Gaspar's fault that anyone thinks you are pedantic, or even argumentative. What's with that guy?*

*yes, trolling. smile

Suttree made us an offer. [Image: run.gif]

Trade window still open, offer still pending. The obvious thing to do would be accept the offer, it is the front row of cities (renamed) from Suttree's lands. It would make Sisubistan entirely our backfill, which we could immediately settle. A quick scrolling of the mini map behind the trade window shows that the territory, while wholly devoid of population, has not been horribly pillaged so new cities would quickly be profitable as they grown onto old cottages. We could get them all settled within the ten turn peace and have our stack extant for defense as long as we didn't throw it away attacking someone else. The flaw with this plan is that Suttree would still enjoy immense cultural pressure in the eastern part of the area through his continued possession of Memory Rock where he set off the 4000 culture bomb earlier in the game. Unless I don't understand what actually happens to stored tile culture in the event of city gifts, Suttree's posession of Memory Rock will culturally crush the two eastern cities (renamed Colossus City and E Sisu City) allowing him to retake them easily if we don't put in large defensive garrisons.

Well, we don't have large defensive garrisons, we have a nasty attack force. Suttree's willingness to make a deal this bad means either that his position is sufficiently bad that only losing those four cities would be a good outcome for him, or that he just doesn't want to go through with fighting it out and hopes we can be bought off at this price. Honestly I don't want to fight it out and continue to spend tons of time on this game since we're not going to win it anyway, but my intent is to reject this offer because I just don't want to make peace with Suttree. I'd like to punch him until either we're tired of punching or he's dead.

A quick chat with Boldly gave me his position:

BGN: lol, that offer tells me we should just blitz. worse than actually losing the cities is the fear of losing them and the ulcer you get while waiting to lose them

The trade window is still open, anyone got anything to say about this? I'm 100% certain that the city gifts are legal in terms of buying off someone who just killed your entire army, this way Suttree gets 10 turns to build a replacement force and survive, so I don't think anyone could question the legality of the offer. But I'll leave the post here for a bit anyway. We're 100% rejecting this offer.

The previous owner of any gifted cities loses all tile culture in the first ring of each city. City culture is unaffected, I think.

If we accept, can we just push the red button until retep wins?
