The fact that it won't cause much damage, and also because I feel Commodore would be rational about this, leant me to going ahead and pushing through:
Looks like the northwest might be a peninsula?
Grassland farm finished this turn. That one extra commerce - going from the 0f3h forested hill to the 3f1c farmed grassland - lets us finish Animal Husbandry this turn.
Tarkeel scouts our borders - first person I've seen find us.
Good news is that the horses are excellently placed: first ring for our proposed 3rd city.
Bad news is the forest growth north of the wheat. I wanted to road that tile to connect to the 3rd city and now this is going to delay that road and in turn delay the city.
Second worker finished end of last turn, and this turn we finished the Pig down at Finisterra.
(Hurray for free religion spreads.)
Commodore has found us with his scout this turn; a few turns earlier it was Bing showing on the desert hill to the south. Commodore's warrior is moving out in a way that makes me think he's getting close to his 3rd city and claiming that beautiful river valley to his east. Unfortunately that moves him closer to the center.
Our settler is now 3 turns away, as Finisterra grabbed the newly pastured pig, freeing up the Corn to go back to Goat Rocks. Next the workers will move north to road to the Wheat/Horse spot. But sadly I haven't figured out a way to speed along the settler, so we're going to spend 2 moves of transit time for a location only 3 tiles from the capital. Sigh.
Speaking of city #3, Hitru and aetryn: either of you have a wilderness locale you wish to offer up for a city name?

I am not one of them, but you are looking for nice places "off the beaten path"?
I found one of the most beautiful playes when I was on Menorca for holidays a dozen years ago. Very remote in the coastal hills. Most of the island was super hot and dry end of the summer and then, there was this small "bassin" in an elevated area. Stunning!
edit: I didn't want to interrupt with such a lengthy post but didn't find the spoiler tag this morning... let's try if I can write it down by hand to keep this place a bit more tidy. Photos in spoiler... :D
Bassa Verda (verde?)
I guess you are familar with spanish, since you walked compostella, I only understand half of that but basically it's a protected (well theoretically, there was only this sheet of paper somewhere) area for wildlife and biodiversity. An Oasis.
