No GLH, non-aggressive opening, aiming to settle the islands to the east. This is probably overly aggressive (on the builder scale) and in a real game you would get bothered by barbs or neighbors.

I think whoever is winning is more likely to get dogpiled in a diplo game, while players near the bottom of the scoreboard are more likely to get dogpiled in a no diplo game (see also Azza in pb8). Its all about risk/reward.

The former doesn't preclude the latter. Not like the weakest party has alot of bargaining power. Though yes, it is hard to dogpile a leader unless they show a massive vulnerability across a stretched front.
I guess both have happenned in pb9 so far
