I went sailing for my first tech and put some food / hammers into a worker. Then it was WB at max hammers (2H, 1F was the best tile I had). I have just finished mining and started on BW. I will be flipping back and forth between tiles to get BW and Size 2 lined up.
Meanwhile - my warrior went looking for stuff.
Given that Krill is not in this game, and he didn't put the map together ... here is my Krill impersonation ...
[Krill]
Who did this map - it sucks. Look at that fish to the North of my city ... only 2 tiles that can reach it and 1 locks out a close second city - this is just sucky map making.

Fortunately, there is another way to place a second city...

Considering Krill is your dedicated lurker, Krill can make such observations himself
However, I like the conundrum, because the fish/clams site could be Moia, but then, you don't know if it is stealing the only food in that area in the clams. The other option could be that one tile island being Moia ifyou can find a source of stone to make slave-overflowing a viable tactic.
I think your dotmap is about right, because you can fit in another city to grab that fish to the south, then there is the rice to fit in...I figure wb>worker>warrior/exploring wb to go anticlockwise might be wise?

So now it's turn 17 and you've played 7 turns in 20 days? Not too promising. Anyway, I thought of something: If / when you're allowed to trade screenshots, you should send out some forged screenshots, just for kicks. Faking your current research and research rate, for example.
I have to run.

I've been reporting every 5 turns. T15 report is still outstanding. I like the idea of doctored screenshots - something that is within my skill range.

Bronze working came in at the end of the turn. Here is a map of my known land (bronze is marked with red circle, my exploring warrior is in pink).
I revolted and whipped workboat, put overflow into second workboat. After that it will be worker, warrior, workboat (explorer), settler.

Quote: Greetings, Ruff_Hi, ruler of India. The city state of Athenai extends its hand to you in friendship. Surely the gods must have precipitated our meeting, for our scouts to have met on such an auspicious day! The dawn of the fifth era shall mark our meeting, and be a sign for all future generations that the gods have destined our two peoples to live in harmony!
So, are you getting Civ 5 today, or are you a skeptic like me?
Sincerely,
Sylon, First Citizen of Athenai

formally met Sylon in game ...
Quote:Greetings Sylon,
It is good to met a fellow wandering warrior, but I must warn you against leaving your capital undefended like you have ... that is a very dangerous ploy. Not with me ... no! But it could be bad if others (or those pesky barbarians) find it.
Have you met any others? If so, can you provide some directions? I haven't met any others.
Lets talk again.
Mmuff_Hi
I was going to add this ...
Quote:Traveling in a fried-out combie
On a hippie trail, head full of zombie
I met a strange lady, she made me nervous
She took me in and gave me breakfast
And she said,
"Do you come from a land down under?
Where women glow and men plunder?
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover."
Buying bread from a man in Brussels
He was six foot four and full of muscles
I said, "Do you speak-a my language?"
He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich
And he said,
"I come from a land down under
Where beer does flow and men chunder
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover."
Lying in a den in Bombay
With a slack jaw, and not much to say
I said to the man, "Are you trying to tempt me
Because I come from the land of plenty?"
And he said,
"Oh! Do you come from a land down under? (oh yeah yeah)
Where women glow and men plunder?
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover."
... but the last line might send the wrong message.
