Why is Pb building an Alchemy Lab instead of making more adepts or some other military in Caledor? Is Pb possibly trying to acquire Mary Morbus?

So, Bob is going to attack probably quite soon. PB already has Hemah waiting though, it's just playing for time till Hemah gets Snowfall.

Bob's third Ritualist might actually cost him the game, since it gives Hemah time to get that Snowfall. What do you think?

How many CAs will die in the initial wave? Judging PB, probably not a lot.

Bob thinks he can get enough hawk cover to see Hemah coming before he can get into range, we'll see if that happens.

I think Bob is going to fall for the same trick as Iskender, namely, forgetting about Engineering.

I have studied that screen shot and I am almost certain that PB cannot hit any of my cities with that giant stack after I move, even with Sprint. The only one that could be in danger is Acaia if he has engineering.

Oh dear Bob, oh DEAR. Does he even bother checking the trade screen? Or think about exactly how fast Iskender was torn apart?

Also he assumes that is the bulk of PBs miltary but he doesn't do a bit of C&D to even get a good estimate? For perhaps the most critical engagement his empire has ever faced.

Also he is chancing all this to raze a 1 pop settlement on his border that supplies no resources to PB. Also if he follows up this assault he will be heading straight into Iskender's old territory which is rather far away from Karond Kar which is the closest he could come to seriously damaging PB.

But to be fair, what else can he do? He can't hit at PB's main city, since Selrahc (who he wants to befriend) is in the way. The only option left is to play a waiting game, which thanks to Blight, he now can't. PB is going to outtech and destroy him.

Of course, not seeing the C & D is bad, but then, he was so hopelessly mistaken about the C & D last time i don't see how it matters. (Thinking PB had 8 when he actually had 16 was not a good idea). Thanks to Saverous and Hemah the power graph is possibly unable to scan right now.

Also, i'm sure he thinks that PB lost quite a number of Centaurs taking over Iskender.... only us lurkers and Selrahc knows that PB lost almost 0.

But to be fair, what else can he do?

I think that is best answered by wondering about his past play. Personally I think hisstrategic thinking is rather lacking for the reasons Darkmantle said: he should go for the throat, OTOH against Hemah with 2*snowfall he needs to destroy as many of PBs units as possible before he heads up there to KK, otherwise PB will simply win any confrontation between the two of them.

I'm really looking forward to PB writing the next few turn updates.

So PB is already setting up the road network for his Raiders to take out Selrahc.

Well in the short term this is just to give extra room for manoeuvre during their anti-Bob MDP. But I'm sure PB knows the long term implications, and honestly Selrahc should be able to figure them out as well.

I'm not sure that will make much difference, in all honesty -- I think if the PB/Bob war is anything other than a long, drawn-out war of attrition, Selrahc knows he's largely doomed anyway.

But yes, it was a nice bit of reading between the lines in that conversation.
