Well, plus Parkin, so make at least two of those available.

Okay, two picks in front of us, and Sury/Inca/India are all available, so minimum 1 of those will fall to us. I think I'd push for one of those three. What's the general feeling from you guys? We should chat about this when it gets closer to our pick.

I pretty much agree, we'll choose whichever of those three is still available when we're up. If more than one is still available, then Inca > Surry > India (although it would kill me to leave India unpicked, so maybe India goes in front of Surry?)

Yeah I think Inca is narrowly the best out of those, but you can't go wrong with any of them. Mostly just depends on how you want to play.
If it's between Sury and India, I think I'd actually think to take India and hope an underrated EXP like Isabella is around in the second round, which I think is pretty likely. Isabella of India with sights generally set towards Pyramids (or GLH) would be pretty great (I think Isabella in general is a very reasonable and attractive 2nd round target even if you are able to take Inca). Sury is awesome though, so obviously that's plenty good enough too.

Yeah, I agree India is better than Surry. I was just hoping to play a different civ since that's what CFC is playing as in the ISDG. I also have a slight preference against the Vikings since Gillette is playing that civ in the demo game. I figured picking sixth it wouldn't matter, but for whatever reason India is still available so now I think it might be the only logical option by the time we're up.

Well, Bowsling taking Mansa still leaves all three of our top choices available. I really hope Parkin leaves us Inca to make this easy. I really don't want to have to pick between Surry and India, because I think we would need to choose India, and I don't want to play as that civ again. Plus, their starting techs are about the worst possible with our start..

Yes! The only better alternative would be Parkin choosing something really crazy like America just to show his teammates how to win against noobs with a crappy civ

I don't understand how anyone wouldn't want to play India in the maximum number of games possible.

I haven't played India once, and for that I'm glad.
Then again, you do think I'm a contrarian.
