I say ban the victory, and as for corporations, how often does the game actually get that far anyway? Hence I don't really mind, we can ban them if people want

I can cover all of Noble's irregularities. As long as you don't count on him playing in his afternoon. I can cover his mornings and his evenings/nights.
Edit: BTW I'm endorsing the 4 player PBEM.
“The wind went mute and the trees in the forest stood still. It was time for the last tale.”
It seems to me if you're all willing to do a 4 player full diplo PBEM then you've got a viable game here - so long as timezones & play times match up well enough. Ellimist posted his time availability (as 2300-0300 GMT) which does at least indicate a willingness to play a PBEM. So really it's only if Kuro is also willing to do a PBEM? Those-who-are-not-Ellimist should probably post availablility too.
If you were to go with this set up you'd have the following consensus decided so far: 1. Nukes? 4x No 2. Restricted/Unrestricted Leaders? 4x Unrestricted 3. Land/Water ratio? 3x mapmaker choice, 1x strategically significant water bodies (people want to know what the mapmaker choice is before snakepick) 4. Duplicate Civ/Leaders? 4x No 5. Huts? 3x no, 1x yes 6. Spies/Missions? 3x no, 1x yes 5. Random Events? 2x no, 2x yes Needs Deciding 7. Great Spy restrictions? 3x yes (settle/GA), 1x no 8. Vassal States? 4x No 9. HE/WP unit gift ban? 4x ban 10. Snake Pick? 4x yes 11. Game speed? 2x normal, 1x quick, 1x no pref 12. Difficulty? 2x no pref, 1x Noble-Immortal, 1x Prince or Monarch (falls under everyone's preferences, mapmaker choice for which?) 13. Ban any civ/leader? a selection of suggestions Needs more discussion Banning India/Inca common to most, also 2 suggestions of Tatan's list - and infact the most opinionated sounding opinion was to ban Tatan's list plus HC & Vicky. 14. Barbarians? 3x no, 1x no pref 15. World Wrap? 4x mapmaker 16. Internet? 2x no, 2x no pref 17. Replace starting scouts with warriors? 2x yes, 1x yes if no huts but no if huts 18. When can you start with diplo? (ie immediately or when you meet) 3x in game meeting 19. Screenshot/Map trading from when? 1x at meeting, 1x at paper, 1x at paper but never SS Needs more discussion - no answer from Jkaen yet, looks like 2 people would rather no map-trading till paper, but one of those would like no SS trading at all 20. Permanent Alliance (in game setting)? 3x no 21. War Elephants? 3x banned 22. Ivory? 1x mapmaker, 2x yes 23. Blockades? 3x ban AP - two to ban victory Corps - two happy to ban I'm absolutely not trying to ram anything down anyone's throats tho - I'm not playing in this, I'm just being secretarial support for the setup stage So feel free to ignore this & chase up the other potential sign-ups etc etc if that makes people happier
...wounding her only makes her more dangerous!

About Random events, let me ask you this. Do you really want an opponent to suddenly get shock promos on all of his axes for free, randomly? Or do you want your city to get hit by a hurricane and destroy your forge 2 turns after you just 2 pop whipped it? Or do you want your opponent randomly getting a new food resource that is pre-hooked and giving 6 yield? Any one of these "events" can thoroughly unbalance a game. It's fun in SP when it adds flavor, but when you're playing against real humans that will exploit new advantages or weaknesses with more vigor and insight, do you really want that simply for flavor?
As for our timeslot, I'll let Noble answer that, and I'll fill in everything else. I'm basically between 00:00-14:00 GMT. Depending on the day and workload there are 2 hour blocks I can't play but I get to it straight after.

I don't know what you have down for us under random events, but if it's yes then switch it over to a no.
We need more discussion on civ/leader bans, I suggest only the two civs as mentioned. I don't see a need to ban the power leaders when we can each take one of them. Do we have a mapmaker? I think there was a volunteer somewhere back, but the thread is getting too long now. Was it Krill? Or did he volunteer to make the other one? Availability for me is uhm 2000-2400 EDT roughly, which is GMT -4, so 0000-4000 GMT if I've done my math correctly. Would be 2300-3000 during the winter. So slot us for that since that's my overlap with Lewwyn. I see that overlaps with Ellimist. Well, that's not so good, if we're late in getting the save Lewwyn can play it I guess.
Civilization IV: 21 (Bismarck of Mali), 29 (Mao Zedong of Babylon), 38 (Isabella of China), 45 (Victoria of Sumeria), PB12 (Darius of Sumeria), 56 (Hammurabi of Sumeria), PB16 (Bismarck of Mali), 78 (Augustus of Byzantium), PB56 (Willem of China)
Hearthstone: ArenaDrafts Profile No longer playing Hearthstone.
Um...I've never really played a PBEM, I'm not really sure how and I'm not sure if it interests me much. I guess I'll play if everyone wants PBEM, since it'd be better than not playing any game at all.
I dunno what time avalibility means, but I can play any time between 7-8 AM to midnight-1, PST. On the subject of random events, I don't really care much, and like I said some of the REs are somewhat broken. But I figured it'd be a fun difference and would also at least give a slight downside to running Slavery, albeit a random one. But eh, if it makes the game setup faster, I'll switch to no. On the subject of banning civ/leader combos, I am cool with anything. I only agree we must ban India/Inca, since they're very polarizing. If everyone wants Tatan's list + HC/Vicky, that's fine.
PBEMs are simple to play. You get the save in an email, click it and it dowloads and civ automatically opens with the correct mods to play teh save. You enter your password and play. Once you've hit end turn, you can either use Ruffs' email client to automatically send hte save to the next player/email tracker or just upload the email to send yourself. Simple.

I guess that sounds simple enough. So...sure, PBEM, I guess.
PBEM is actually really easy to play and as long as people stick to their slots you can get a turn a day. At times I've gotten 2-3 per day on the weekend.
Availability would be the time you can set aside to play the game during the day. With your availability we'll just slot you wherever we need to in order to assure that the turn order works. Usually you want the game to follow the sun. You may or may not end up playing at your scheduled time, but helps to figure out the turn order. I'll also create a tracker for us if we're going PBEM.
