All non-Scientist bulbs give the same number of beakers, equal to 2/3 of a scientist bulb.

Available soon:

- Statue of Liberty - expensive and has a doubler, but still tempting

- Versailles - Not needed

- Hagia Sopia - Already got enough workers

- Spiral Minaret/Sistine/Sankore - I haven't got many Hindu buildings, so probably not useful

- Wall st - would go in the capital with Oxford, although the capital could build it in about 10 turns anyway. What other national wonders should you put in your capital?
Available later:

- The Kremlin - I've never built this - is it good?

- The Pentagon - extra xp are not to be sniffed at

- Broadway/Eiffel Tower/Rock n Roll/Christo - Is the game going to last this long?

So I think wall st might be the most useful for a while, so long as wall st & oxford in the same city isn't dumb. I'll have to work out how many beakers it gives compared to bulbing.

the kremlin is very good if plan on using slavery (or US) that late in the game. less so if you won't be using those civics. I would think you'll find use for it since you are spiritual. the question is if the game will still be in contention come communism.

I don't mind using it on SOL, because its so damned expensive and the great engineer won't finish it anyway.

Wall street is also an excellent choice, since unlike oxford it doesnt have a multiplier and is more expensive than many world wonders.
I usually like putting wall street in shrine cities, but if you don't have one then put it in your best commerce city. if thats the capital, thats fine. there's not really a "capital" national wonder - oxford and wall street are usually the most common due to the bureaucracy bonus. iron works is common too for the same reason, but that can create a situation where you end up having too many hammers and wasting them to build military or cheaper buildings

Thanks to Serdoa my capital and shrine are both in Barnet. So sounds like you approve of wall st and oxford there!

A bit late to the party, but you talk about taking a city from serdoa but it doesn't look like you're at war...
I may be missing something of course.

I was planning to declare and take a city while he was busy with Azza, but then I got greedy and wanted to take two, meaning Serdoa had an extra turn during which he upgraded his archers to longbows and I couldn't take either.duh

Turn 138

Nothing interesting happened.

And unlike other turns I didn't go on and on about it anyway.

Turn 139

Okay, so last turn may not have been all that boring - Hydra razed de_cbble and is now on his way to take de_nuke. Meanwhile Azza has revolted into research civics rather than military ones. Maybe caste is getting him more hammers than slavery would? But I'm sure Theocracy (which he may not have the tech for) or Vassalage would be more useful than Free Religion and Free Speach.

I'm going to join in next turn. I need to get in quick before Azza's rifles stop me. My target is to take de_inferno and de_tuscan. So next turn I'm going to put ten horse archers on tile A in the hope of taking de_inferno the turn after. They could go one tile north, but that makes them slightly more likely to get hit by a catapult. The rest of the stack is going to attack de_tuscan from B. Going on C or D would be safer but B makes attacking de_inferno possible from the hills if the horse archers can't take it. Also note the fort canal on the right of the picture, I wonder if those triremes are heading for me (east) or Hydra (west)?

Mean time this is my Great person matrix, I'm hoping Grimsby spawns a scientist this turn instead of Ipswich spawning a 40% artist/30% scientist, then Lancaster will (with an extra specialist or two) spawn a scientist and Ipswich will spawn a 30% artist/40% scientist. Then with three more scientists I should be in the lead right? Actually I won't bother with Exeter and Oldham - they just aren't going to pop any time soon.

Thanks to Hydra whipping out rifles and burning Azza's cities I'm gaining!

That may not be a good idea.

Fake edit: EOT I discover grimsby spawned an artist banghead I checked the save and the odds were Prophet 17%, Scientist 75% and Merchant 8% - so did the artist due in Ipswich get spawned in Grimsby somehow? Is this a bug? Can I demand a re-count? I'll wait half an hour to send the save if anyone wants to tell me what happened...

did you have a .01% chance for artist?
