Pitboss 66 Tech and Setup Thread

A question for players: Torusland gives the option to randomly place tile improvements on the map.

These can be pillaged for gold, and hence speed up the early game tech rate.

Do you want to choose a setting for this map generation option, or leave it to me?

Another clarification: When you voted on 120 tiles per player, was that 120 land tiles per player, or 120 total tiles per player? Significant difference there.

I think the idea was 120+ total per player, medium size

I think this is something that can be interesting if done manually by the mapmaker with great care, but I think it's best to leave that option off.

My experience is that tilecounts are landtiles, often not counting mountains, and sometimes not counting deserts. YMMV.

I had envisaged 120- land tiles total, including mountains/desert to the mapmakers discretion. Happy to go with the majority opinion though.

In a game this big I would have thought Large Size was best, but again happy to go with what the mapmaker decides.
