A major update every 10-20 turns is probably the best way to compromise detail/workload.

When I picked HC, I completely forgot the Andes existed, and the Amazon existed in a non-burned-down-and-replaced-with-towns state. Then I got my starting position screenshot and.... not good. lol

Ah well, HC will make it work cuz he's a gangsta.
