hehe, well you can read the thread now. I wouldnt read much into it, its just a bit of jingoism. that was exacerbated because of the demogame, which TT is\was not even an active participant in. It was more for humor than anything.
as for the other stuff, probably I just misread your tone, due to English not being your first language, im sorry for getting defensive. I don't think you handed me the game in any way.. I don't think anyone except for Cornflakes could have brought me down, tbh... but I do have weaknesses and made mistakes, I'm aware of that .

Fairly sure you can't build quechua once you can build rifles.

I consider my English good enough for the purpose of this conversation. I said you could had not knew about any particular plans of mine that included using Commandos, because you showed yourself not aware how they work or what exact danger they present. And in this I still think I was right. But those are of course just a game afterthoughts and not meant to mock you or belittle you.
As for helping you win the game, I think you miss the fact that without me bringing Commodore to attack Cornflakes and send our armies to die just to give you a chance to bring Cornflakes down, you had no chance to conquer the ex-Azza almost empty cities which made you the new superpower. I am not a fortuneteller, but I like geopolitics and for me this was the necessary evil to stop Cornflakes running away with the game. Do not take is as some self-denial great deed of feast, I was doing it mainly for myself, not much to help you. I had plan to try to bring you down too, but alas, there was this unfortunate illegal offer I made to Cf, and we missed the opportunity somewhat. Then the others did not saw my appeal to attack you as something important and they passed on this. I was giving the game on a silver plate to Cornflakes and he refused :D (OK, I was not :kingmaking", I already had a plan to bring Commodore later to attack together Cf, of course it was not from some sudden philanthropist incentive.
I played in most of the major civ MP sites and there are communities, where being second or third is OK achievement. For some players even being over the middle, or staying alive to the end of the game are satisfying outcomes of a game. With all the "everyone must do whatever gives him best chance to win the game" attitude I was told is expected normally from the players in the RB games, honestly, I cant say if I was more mad or more surprised the others did not saw where the game was going and simply refused to join me when I was trying to organize the dogpile against you :D I was like: "How those guys can be so blind and deluded and selfish and shortsighted and other and other, etc, etc" LOL!
I was told there is not a single successful case of dogpile against the score leader in the whole history of the RB games and back at that time I was thinking I understand why is that. Can the RB veterans say if this is indeed fact or it is more a fiction?

I don't think it's a fact. I think it's incredibly rare for dog piles to occur, but there are a couple of reasons for that, one of which is basically incompetence: bad play is what enabled some runaways to occur. For example, PB2 dogpile is one example where that was a significant factor, and the dog pile didn't work because of a specific lack of skill (in understanding how to attack effectively and how to coordinate). We also have slightly different definitions of dogpiles, a 2v1 wouldn't (IMO, anyway) be considered a dogpile. TBH I think the term dog pile isn't really defined well enough to explain the different permutations of why a war occurs in some of the 3v1 and 4v1 scenarios.

I doubt I will read the whole lot of the spoiler threads, I skimmed trough the parts where I had some answers to find knowing where they are in the timeline. 100% sure I wont dig where those chant slogans were used :D On the other hand, I learned a new word - jingoism And still, I see again the sad tendency how the most vocal in chanting anti-chants are players who are not even taking the time to play or follow the game.
Anyway, I was too shy and conservative in this game, trying to see the ground and feel it. Hopefully the next game I will have more clearer idea and expectations.

I said in my spoiler thread that I would join in a dogpile against Bigger. It just never happened, which is why I was surprised that people were conceding already.

Oh, so they are rare to occur as to begin with? IMO this will even more narrow the chance of having successful dog pile?
And you are right that it is not 100% well defined what is considered a dogpile in Civ.

Hehe, but I offered you to declare war to Bigger when I attacked him and even offered you one of his cities, plus techs - good military techs and some money I think. This is how a dogpile is made - one jumps and the others follow. The one to jump first is of course the most fuсked up of the dogpilers, as he is just right on top of the dogpile one. I dont know how much louder or clearer I could have announce it that it was a call to dogpile Bigger :D
I know, I know you said you were afraid of Cornflakes wanting to surprise attack you . But in the big geopolitic game, which you call meta-game, this is what you do when things get serious - you open up yourself from the other sides and take the risk to be reaped from behind just so you can pose bigger threat to the runaway. I did exactly this and out of a sudden, I got attacked in the back. Not from 1, but from 2 nations LOL!

you did your part, cornflakes had to join in for it to be effective, though. I could easily hold off you, jowy, and commodore w/o cornflakes. commodore didn't even share a border w/ me the whole game, and he had checked out, I think, so it shouldnt surprise you that you couldnt get him to join in.
